Sunday Stash – I win, you win – A Kaffe Fassett Giveaway

It was a nice surprise to open my email and find out that I won a giveaway at the Quilty Pleasures blog. Shortly thereafter, a fat quarter bundle of 15 different Kaffe Fasset fabrics from the neutral classics line arrived at my door. I combed through them and found some polka dots to add to my stash. And, I think that multi-colored fabric might work well for binding on a project, so I’ll tuck it away as well. The yellow and gray Aboriginal Dot fabrics at the top of the picture were my favorites in the bundle. And, there are three more fat quarters that I hope to show off in finished projects at some point this week. I guess that gives me a really good excuse to be in the fabric store tomorrow to pick up the last of the supplies that I need πŸ™‚

That left seven fabrics though that I just couldn’t picture using in any projects that I have slated in the near future. I’m not typically a girl who uses large floral prints. However, I know someone out there would be thrilled to get these fabrics, so I’m sharing the bounty. I’m opening up a giveway, so these 7 fat quarters can find their way into a quilt or a stash or a project somewhere.

Here they are.

You’ll get one entry for leaving a blog comment; I’m curious to know who has holiday sewing planned and whether you’ve started your projects yet. I hatched a possible gift project in my mind the other day, but I still need to gather some Christmas wish lists before I proceed. You also can get a second entry if you’re already a follower on Bloglovin’ or if you become a follower. I’ll announce the winner on Saturday.

  1. I would love to win these for my mom. She is a big KF fan. No holiday sewing plans. I have a 2mo old and very little free time.

  2. I just bought some fat quarters to start some Christmas mug rugs for some gifts for Christmas. I havent made any of these yet and I have been wanting to .

  3. I have some similar fat quarters to the ones you are giving away to use for a quilt…would love to get more. I’m hoping to make a tree skirt for Christmas this year!

  4. I haven’t any specific sewing for the holidays planned THIS year, but I’m hoping to get some down time to work on more quilts over the holidays!!!

  5. No holiday projects at the moment. I hope to do a couple of table runners, but don’t even have anything picked out as of yet.

  6. I plan on making my sister a quilt for her reading chair which will be lap size and then I would like to make a few totes for the ladies in my family and if I have time I would love to make my best friend a new mug rug for her desk at work! Wow that sounds like a lot!
    Thanks for the chance, Jessica

  7. I totally have holiday gift plans, and I started last week! I try to make as many handmade gifts as possible, mostly because I’m still very new to sewing/quilting and my family all wants something! In a few years, I’m sure they’ll be tired of it all, haha. πŸ™‚

  8. Unfortunately, I haven’t started any Christmas presents yet. I may or may not make people things this year. I would make everyone person I know something if I had the time πŸ™‚ Fun floral prints πŸ™‚

  9. I do have a table runner planned for my sister. I have the fabrics bought but haven’t begun it yet. I have my other sisters table runner made already. But I still need to get the fabrics for 2 others I want to make as well and of course get them made.

  10. Those are some loud floral prints! I haven’t started any Christmas sewing just yet. I’ve got several things in mind & just need to get going on them. Thanks for the chance to win!

  11. Oo congrats on winning such a big bundle! I’m probably crazy, but I’m thinking about making a few Amy Butler weekender bags for gifts this year. Better get started soon, eh? Thanks for linking up!

  12. Ohh, I love Kaffe Fassett prints! I started some quilted cosmetic bags in August but they got set aside when school started. Now that I’m into the rhythm of teaching, I hope to get back to my sewing machine and finish them the bags to give as gifts. And I plan to do an Amy Butler weekender bag for my best friend. Thanks for sharing!

  13. I like those!! I think it’s fun to kind of “deconstruct” large scale prints by piecing them. The only Christmas project I have right now is an ongoing project that the person knows about but doesn’t know it’ll be done for Christmas! I’ll probably decide to do some last minute stuff when the Christmas spirit really hits.

  14. My holiday sewing plans are to finish some of my UFO’s. I am hand quilting however, so finishing something is unlikely.

  15. No I haven’t started my holiday sewing. I have 2 quilts needed for a benefit auction and another project that is sort of a work deal. I need to be if that counts lol!

  16. i’m doing the-countdown-to-christmas-quilt-along at betteroffthread.com, it’s an advent calender and the schedule gets it done by the end of Nov. and because i’m crazy im doing 3 of them, lol and a lap quilt Blitzen from moda, that’s ready for the design board, i’ve done all the 1/2 square triangles, pretty easy with charm packs.

  17. Wow! Time to think about Christmas gifts already?!! I like to make the burrito pillowcases for kids using their favorite cartoon/animated characters. Lately, with the garden I’ve been busy making jalapeno and apple jellies and zucchini breads and will mostly likely give some of these as gifts for the adults. The Kaffe prints are gorgeous!!!! πŸ™‚ Thanks for the opportunity to win them! Sue

  18. I’m making a quilt for my cousin’s new baby for a X-mas gift. I’ve started working on it and have all 180 HSTs done. Now I’m ready to start sewing the quilt top together.

Whatcha' thinking? I enjoy hearing from my blog readers. Thanks for taking a few minutes to visit today.
