Sunday Funday Giveaway – Bluebird Park Charm Pack

This week was a busy, busy week. After a few late nights cutting fabric and piecing, I finished the top for a whimsical baby quilt. Are you ready for this revelation? This was the first time that I ever used pre-cut quilting fabric. I’m being won over. Not having to cut over half the squares definitely cut down on the time required to put the quilt together.

I used a charm pack of Moda’s newly released Bluebird Park fabric, which is adorable. I’m telling you, it was really hard to only use one charm pack to make the quilt and to save the other one to give away. But, I stuck to my original plan of using Bluebird Park and mixing in some other filler fabrics. Check out the cute bunnies and hedgehogs. I love the textured linen look of the background too.

So, what is the giveaway? Well, you’ll win a charm pack of the Moda Bluebird Park fabrics. I’m also going to send you charms that I cut from the filler fabrics that I used, so you can replicate this take on the pattern or have enough complementary squares to get started on your own charm project. You’ll just need to pick some sashing, binding, and backing.

And, the pattern? Gotcha covered there too. I used the Storytime Squares pattern posted at Made By Rae. The free pattern is available as a downloadable PDF. If you follow it with a charm pack, just make your sashing a tad narrowed since you’re working with 5 inch squares instead of the 5.5 inch squares that pattern called for.
